Steve studied at Southampton Institute of Higher Education, training as an illustrator and gained diplomas in Graphic Design, Design Illustration and Scientific Illustration. He has tackled a variety of subjects through varied commissions nationwide including book illustrations, advertising literature, video covers and even pub signs! In recent years, Steve's main focus has been on Natural History producing wildlife paintings based on research at Marwell Zoological Park, where he is a member of the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society, selling every year, since its' inauguration in 1999. As well as success through established dealers and private commissions Steve has sold successfully at Christie's of London, and the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art in Liverpool. Steve also turns his hand to other subject matter ranging from pet portraits to sports and movie stars. He has also produced a stunning airbrush painting of the former 'Spice Girl', Melanie C, based on her live performance in May 2003. |
